On the occasion of the Holy Year 2025, as declared by the Holy Father, more than thirty events are planned in Rome between December 24, 2024, the opening date of the Holy Door, and January 6, 2026, its closing date.
The Emmanuel Community will particularly participate in four jubilees: the Jubilee for deacons and their wives from February 20 to 23, 2025, the Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly (May 30 to June 1), the Jubilee of Youth (July 28 to August 3), and the Jubilee of Teachers (October 31 to November 2).
Jubilee of Deacons: “Reminding the Church that we are a community of servants”
Jubilee of Deacons: “Reminding the Church that we are a community of servants”
February 20 to 23, 2025
The 35 deacons of the Emmanuel Community are invited to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the restoration of the permanent diaconate and to join the pilgrimage organized by the National Diaconate Committee.
Program Highlights
The program includes moments of celebration, such as the Sunday Jubilee Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica presided over by Pope Francis, the passage through the Holy Door, the discovery of Rome and its four major basilicas, learning about the history of the early Christians, and visits to the catacombs. Additionally, there will be times spent within the Emmanuel Community, “during which each person will have something to contribute to our reflection on the call to the diaconate,” shares Rémi.
As for whether there will be a special meeting with Pope Francis, Rémi responds with optimism and confidence: “With the grace of the Holy Spirit, I never close the doors—there’s always hope!”

Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly
From May 30 to June 1, 2025
Love & Truth has been entrusted by Pope Francis and the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life with leading three key moments at Trinità dei Monti:
- Friday afternoon: A time for games in the gardens and a spiritual moment in the church of Trinità dei Monti to experience joy and hope as a family, centered around the relics of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus.
- Friday evening: A vigil.
- Saturday morning: Family activities and the opportunity to take part in the jubilee pilgrimage.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the jubilee pilgrimage and to serve together as a family.
Jubilee of Youth (Ages 18 to 30)
From July 28 to August 3, 2025
The Jubilee of Youth is organized by the Dicastery for Evangelization and will not include days in Italian dioceses during the preceeding week (it is not a World Youth Day).
The Emmanuel Community plans to bring a group of 2000 young people to Trinità dei Monti.
Provisional Program

- Friday, August 1st: Day in Rome (events, Holy door, …)
