Bas Suijkerbuijk, head of Emmanuel Music, shares his experience of the album as it is released on streaming platforms.

“For this album Emmanuel Music collaborated with Abe Gross, an arranger from Minneapolis, already renowned for his work in Christian music.

Abe Gross and I started working on an album together. We said to him, ‘Hey, you’re not from Emmanuel, but would you be willing to arrange a number of Emmanuel songs?’

Abe was able to bring a fresh eye to these songs, most of which come from the repertoire of the Emmanuel community. Two other songs on the album come from Anglo-Saxon culture.

The idea is to make many more albums in the future and there is also this mission, in the United States, to inculturate the music of the Community much more.”
