Paray-le-Monial. It is in this small town of Burgundy (France) that Jesus appeared in the 17th century to a young nun, Marguerite-Marie Alacoque.

Jesus showed Marguerite-Marie his Heart burning of love for humankind, as a declaration of Christ’s love for us.

He said to her:  “My Divine Heart is so passionate with love for mankind and for you in particular”

In 1975, Pierre Goursat, founder of the Emmanuel Community, organized gatherings of prayer groups and communities for the Charismatic Renewal in Paray-le-Monial. 

Paray-le-Monial has become the heart of the Emmanuel Community ever since. Every year, gatherings like the “International Sessions of Paray” are held. These sessions are open to everyone, families, singles, young people. Here there are for many opportunities for you to discover what the love of Chirst truly means. For everyone, Paray is a place of healing and wonder where one experiences the joy of God.
