In just a few days, we'll be celebrating Pentecost!

In January, James and I moved our family from Melbourne to Buningyong (which is 2 hours away), a small country town in Victoria. We prayed to know our mission…then Covid-19 came and\u00a0 we were told to stay home.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I decided to continue to pray at our local church, where I was able to let myself in using a code. Each day I would go, and each day I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to ring the church bell when I was there. I felt afraid to ring it because I did not want to draw attention to myself.<\/p>

I felt the Lord urging me to be bold, so I began to ring the bell and pray the Angelus whenever I was there. I had been doing this for a few weeks and one day I happened to be there and heard the bells ringing at midday from another church. So I rushed back out and rang them with greater boldness; rejoicing in the sound of two churches bell ringing in one small town.\u00a0 Shortly after,\u00a0 a woman came racing up to the door, and asked if she could please come in to pray as she had not been in a church since lock down! She was so happy! So was I!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The very next day as I approached the door, a man was peering in. I asked him if he would like to make a visit. He was very grateful, but said he had no Christian faith. He asked me why I came and why I did not just pray at home, and I said simply, \u201cbecause I believe Jesus Christ is truly here…and I am not distracted by the housework!\u201dWe spoke for a long time and he asked me many questions about the faith. I invited him to spend a few moments in silence and welcomed him to come again. His name is Gordon and I told him I would pray that he finds his way.<\/p>

This small act of boldness, in a sleepy Victorian town in Australia, is beginning to bear some fruit and giving me a mission.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
